Marrocco Memorial Chapel is under the direction of James J. Marrocco. James began the fourth generation of the Marrocco Family in funeral service. Licensed since 1977, James is a graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, PA, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford and is a graduate of the American Academy Mc Allister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City. Jim has also earned the title of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner & Certified PrePlanning Consultant.


Active in the community, Jim is past President of the Passaic County Funeral Directors Association & Past President of the Clifton Lion's Club. He has served on the Board of Trustees at St. Mary's Hospital - Passaic for 13 years He has also served on the Board of Directors and was Vice Chairman of the North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce. Jim served as a member of the Clifton Clean Community Committee and Clifton's Office of Emergency Management . He has been active in Scouting for 50 years and is past Chairman of the Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Paterson Diocese. In 2011 Jim appointed to the New Jersey Board of Mortuary Science by Gov. Chris Christie. He was elected three times as president of the board. Jim also served on the Wayne Township Planning Board for 6 years. He is a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Church - Clifton were he serves as an usher and is a member of the St. Philip's Knights of Columbus. Jim has one son James Jr. who is a 2003 graduate of Seton Hall Prep in West Orange and a 2007 graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, DC

Licensed since 1971, Mr. Waller is a graduate of American Academy Mc Allister Institute, NYC and he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wadhams Hall College in Ogdensburg, NY. He is a 1965 graduate of Pope Pius High School - Passaic. Mr. Waller's grandparents were founding parishioners of Holy Trinity Church - Passaic. Mr. Waller is parishioner & lector at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church - Valley Road, Clifton. He has been affiliated with the Marrocco Family since 1997.

In Memory of

In Memory - Licensed in 1949, he was a graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy - Wayne, PA and Eckels College of Mortuary Science - Philadelphia. Among his many community activities, he was the past president of the Passaic County Funeral Directors Association, Past President of The Clifton Optimist Club, Past Commander of the American Legion -Clifton Memorial Post # 347. Henry has also served as a commissioner on the Clifton Board of Health for over 33 years, he has the distinction of being the longest continuously serving member of any board in the city of Clifton. Henry was also a Trustee of Sacred Heart Church, Clifton. He remained active in all of these organizations until his death in January of 2000.

Vincent H. Powell

In Memory of

In Memory - Licensed in 1941, Mr. Powell was a graduate of Mc Allister School of Funeral Service, NYC. A World War II Veteran, Mr. Powell served in the Pacific Theater as a Staff Sgt. with the 237th. Engineer Combat Battalion as a medic. His unit was responsible for blowing up the underwater fortifications at Omaha Beach on D Day and they received a Presidential Unit Citation for their efforts. His unit also received a Presidential Citation for their efforts in crossing the Roar River in Germany during the Battle of the Bulge.


Mr. Powell served on the New Jersey State Board of Mortuary Science for six years. He was an active member with the Allwood VFW Post # 6487 and the Gerald Carroll American Legion Post # 151 in Passaic. Mr. Powell remained active with the funeral home until his death in October of 2001.
