Kasenchar, William, 88 died on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. He was born in Clifton then moved to Passaic in 1950. He moved back to Clifton in 1960 until the present. William attended Rutgers University with a science major and worked in the laboratory at the U.S. Rubber Company in Passaic. He worked as a clerk and technician in the US Post Offfice in Passaic for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army Engineers Corps in WW-II. He was a PFC in 408 Signal Corps attached to the 11th Air Force Division. He served 2 years on the island of Adak in the Aleutians, off the coast of Alaska. He was a member of the Pavlik Koster Post 2640 and also of Mount Carmel Leisure Club. He was pre-deceased by his parents Victor and Barbara Chupak Kasenchar. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years the former Eleanor Castiglia. He is also survived by his daughters Patricia Ellen and her husband Brian Korty of Potomac, MD and Barbara Lynn and her husband William Patterson of Bridgewater, NJ and a son William Michael and his wife Nanci Kulig of Ambler, PA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Thomas & Jonathan Patterson, Alex and Matthew Korty and Claudia, Margo and Ingrid Kasenchar and by a loving sister-in-law Gloria Stacy and niece Ann Marie and her husband John Derpich and several grand nieces. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Saturday at 8:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Clare RC Church at 9:30 AM. Entombment St. Nicholas Cemetery. Visiting Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
