Virgilio Santoro

Santoro, Virgilio, of Clifton passed away on January 3, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of Ermelinda “Linda”. Loving father of Dina and her partner Matteo, and Joseph and his wife Barbara. Cherished grandfather of Marina and Matthew. Virgilio is reunited in rest with his parents, Giuseppe and Blanda. He is the last of seven sons, being predeceased by his brothers Luigi, Vito, Marcello, Aldo, Pio, and Erminio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in the United States, Italy, Switzerland, and Argentina. Born in Pezze di Greco, Italy on December 28, 1926, Virgilio came to America in 1966, settling in Clifton where he would raise his family. He was a lathe operator for 25 years at Star Glo Rubber Manufacturing in East Rutherford. In 1976, Virgilio gained his United States citizenship, of which he was always very proud.
