Veronica Eileen James

James, Veronica (Megna), 82, of Montclair, passed away on January 8, 2010 Veronica was the beloved wife of Norman James and loving mother to Christine James of Philadelphia, PA; sister to Grace Megna, George Megna, Eileen Trotta, all of Tulsa OK and the late Ann Megna. Veronica was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating Lafayette High School, she worked as a bookkeeper for Abraham & Straus. She later went on to earn her BS in Business Administration with honors from St. John s University while working for Mobil Oil Corp as a financial analyst. It was at Mobil that she met and married Norman. After two years living in London, they settled in Montclair in 1972. She spent many hours volunteering for Lacordaire Academy, the American Red Cross, and Mountainside Hospital and was an active member of St Cassian RC Church. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montclair at 10 AM on Saturday, January 16. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 94 Pine Street, Montclair, NJ 07042.
