Gambal, Teodozja, 84 of Cedar Grove, passed away on July 21, 2018. She was born on September 9, 1933 in Bogush, Poland at a time of great world strife. She endured resettlement, World War II, abandonment, and poverty but she learned to overcome her hardships with dignity and hard work, endearing herself to all who came to know her. From her beloved grandfather she first heard of America, and it was her life’s dream to come here, with determination and perseverance, she arrived at Kennedy Airport on February 15, 1970.
From the very beginning, our beloved Tocia made her mark in this country. A proud Lemko, she dedicated her life to serving others, demonstrating the greatest values of loyalty, compassion, love, and generosity. But it was her humor, laughter and kindness that brought joy to others and she gained the respect and admiration from all that came to know her.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Poland, the Gambals, Choroszcaks, Sliwas, and by her family here in America Hrabarchuk, Macko, Popewiny. We loving memories we honor her.
