Ruth Larsen

Ruth Larsen, of St. Croix USVI, passed away on March 10, 2023 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Wagner Larsen Jr. Loving mother of Edgard Rivera and his wife Sandy and Wagner Larsen III. Devoted grandmother of Edgar Mikel Rivera and his wife Walsy, Tyler Rivera, Brianna Rivera, Kiana Larsen, and Hailey Tiffany Larsen. Cherished great grandmother of Neklaus Larsen. Dearest sister of Edison Cruzado and his wife Lydia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth is reunited with her beloved parents, Gregory and Guadalupe Cruzado and her sisters and brothers.

Ruth was born in Manti, Puerto Rico in 1939. In 1941, she moved with her family to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, before finally settling in Passaic. Ruth was always known as a devoted, hard working family woman with a great sense of humor. She spent her career working in various banks in New York and New Jersey. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her love of Salsa dancing, cooking her favorite foods, and her love of sweets. Ruth had a keen sense of fashion. Those who knew her loved her sense of style. She spent the final years of her life splitting her time between living with her son Edgar in Towaco NJ and Wagner in her home in St. Croix, where she would eventually enter into her rest. Ruth was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Passaic. She will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Funeral on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Marrocco Memorial Chapel – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 23 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
