Rose Lalli

Lalli, Rose (Cumino),84, of Clifton on June 14, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Joseph Lalli. Loving mother to Jill & her husband Dr. Donald C. De Fabio of Millington and Pamela & her husband Stephen M. Richmond of Mendham. Grandmother to Amanda, Diana, CJ, Claudia, Alexa, Tyler and Alanna. Mrs. Lalli was born in Philadelphia, PA and had lived in Clifton since 1955. She earned her BA from MacMurray College for Women and her Master in Education from Montclair State College., She was a Fullbright Scholar candidate. She was a teacher for 34 years. She taught for 5 years with the Fair Lawn Board of Education and the remainder of her career was at School # 9 in Clifton. She was a recipient of the Governor s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Rose was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild, Clifton Teachers Association, Passaic County Retired Educators Association, a past president of the Clifton College Women s Club and school cultural arts coordinator. She was an active parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton and the St. Philip Prime Timers. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Tuesday at 9:15 AM followed by a funeral mass at Saint Philip the Apostle RC Church at 10 AM. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery . Visiting Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM
