Gorun, Ronald Arthur, 73 of Clifton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at home on November 28, 2016 after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Rose (Faludi), siblings Elvira Gremsperger, Marianna LaBarbera and Robert Gorun. Surviving are his wife of forty years, Charlotte R. (Giachetti), sons, Matthew Lee and Daniel Michael. He was born in Passaic, graduated from St. Peter’s University and lived in Clifton most of his life. Before retiring he was a quality control supervisor.
Ron was a Boy Scout Leader, Explorer Leader, Service Plus and Order of the Arrow member and recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. One of his passions was woodworking which he loved to share his creations with family and friends. He was a member of the Chip Chat Woodcarvers Association. Ron was also honored to be a Eucharistic Minister for St. Philip the Apostle. Ron’s family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and all our friends and family for providing endless support through this difficult time.
Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton on Friday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church at 10 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
