Richard Peter Worschak

Worschak, Richard Peter, 73, of Linden, NJ, died on March 24th, 2024. Beloved son of the late Peter Richard & Helene Worschak. Loving brother to Rev. D. George Worschak, a priest of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia. Richard was baptized and confirmed at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic, NJ. He received first Holy Communion at St. Andrew’s Parish in Philadelphia.

Richie strove to achieve his life’s potential, both physical and spiritual. He enjoyed visits from his parents and brother “Father Yuriy”. Richard was born in Passaic. Most recently, for nearly twelve years, Richard resided at the Linden Group Home, that is run by Community Access Unlimited of Elizabeth, NJ. Prior to that, he resided at Totowa Developmental Center. He also, participated in the Special Olympics and medaled in track and field.

Those who were blessed to have met Richard will remember and cherish the moments of his positive outlook and striving to do what he could on his own.

Visiting 5-8pm and Parastas 7pm Monday, April 1, 2024 at Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. Funeral Service 10:30 am Tuesday, April 2, at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at. Richard will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, 58 McLean Boulevard, Paterson, NJ 07513.
