Richard J. De Luca

De Luca, Richard J. 62, of Little Falls on April 25, 2010. Beloved husband of Catherine (Mc Ternan) De Luca. Loving father to Daria Pietras and her husband Robert of Cedar Grove, John De Luca and his wife Karina of St. Petersburg, FL, Anthony De Luca of Clifton and Franco Meoli of Little Falls. Grandfather to Michael Mischio of Little Falls. Brother to Peter of Stuart, FL and Mary Ann Drexter of Milford, PA. He is also survived by his cousins Tony and JoAnne Buck of Glassboro, NJ and his aunt Rachele Ewing. Mr. De Luca was born in Passaic and lived in Little Falls for many years. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University and a Vice President at Hanson & Ryan Insurance in Totowa for 32 years; he was awarded the 1980 Young Agent of the Year and the Special U.S. Congressional Recognition for his many contributions in 1994. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Board Member and Chairman for the Behavioral Health System, INC for 12 years and for the North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce; he was also a member of the Board of Directors at IIABNJ from 1986-1998 and a member of the Society of Certified Professional Insurance Agents. Mr. De Luca was also a Rotoract Chairman for the Paterson Rotary District 7940 and a member of the Clifton Elks. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Wednesday at 9:15 am then Funeral Mass at St. Paul RC Church at 10 am. Interment George Washington Memorial Park. Visiting Tuesday 4-8 PM. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of New Jersey (400 Broad acres Dr. 4th Floor, Bloomfield, NJ 07003) and the American Heart Association (2550 Route 1 North Brunswick, NJ 08902).
