Catanzaro, Richard Uncle Richie 90, of Clifton on September 24, 2007. Beloved Husband of the late Elsie (Cook), he is predeceased by his 4 brothers Joseph, William, Michael & John & his nephew John Jr. He is survived by his nieces & nephews: Doris Capri, Joseph Catanzaro, Jr., Shirley Kaulf, Rose Buchner, Barbara Catanzaro, Eugene Catanzaro & his wife Debbie, Great Nieces: Donna & her husband Alan Kirzner, Carol & her husband Anthony Kalliche, Diane Catanzaro & her husband Chris Jones, Lynn & her husband Glenn Dispenziere, Linda Krissi, Cheryl & her husband Martin Gormley, Vincent Monte, Frank Monte, Jennifer & her husband George Bevense, and many adoring great-great nieces & nephews. They all loved their Uncle Richie and he will be greatly missed. He will also be remembered for his famous peppers and egg sandwiches and potato salad. Mr. Catanzaro was a lifetime resident of the Delawanna section of Clifton & he wintered in Miami Beach. Richard was with the Clifton Fire Department for 28 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1978. Richard proudly served in the US Army from 1941 until 1945 and was involved in many major World War II battles in Italy and Germany. He was a member of the FMBA Retired Fireman's Local 500. Funeral from the Powell-Marrocco Funeral Home 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Thursday at 11 AM Interment East Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 7-9
