Raymond Pickett

Pickett, Raymond, 82, of Passaic on July 31, 2009. Loving brother of William Pickett & his wife Dorothy of Bloomfield, the late Rev. Edward Pickett, S.J., the late John Pickett & the late Mary Jane Thompson. Brother in law of Thomas Thompson. Uncle to Edward Pickett, Raymond Thompson, Mary Ellen Thompson, Edward Barfels, Christopher Thompson and Sat Kaur Khalsa. Raymond Pickett was a lifelong resident of Passaic. He graduated from Passaic High School where he played football. He served in the Army during World War II serving in the Philippines; he then graduated from Manhattan College. Mr. Pickett was a supervisor at the Grand Union and later a Court Officer in the Sheriff s Department of Passaic County for 20 years. He was a long time member of the Gerald V. Carroll Post American Legion # 200 and was installed as its Commander in 1965. Raymond was a parishioner of St. Nicholas RC Church in Passaic. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Tuesday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas RC Church at 9:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
