Gordon, Nancie Poor, of Passaic on May 27, 2009. Nancie was a direct descendant of John Poor, who arrived at Newbury Mass, on the ship Planter in the year 1635, from England. Nancie was the granddaughter of the late Passaic industrialist Edward Eri Poor. Nancie was the beloved wife of the late well known musicologist Allan Scott Gordon. She was a lifelong member of St. John s Episcopal Church of Passaic and a member of their choir since the age of eight. Nancie s husband said that she had a music library in her head. Nancie was a member of the The National DAR . She was a board member of The Children s Day Nursery of Passaic , and also a member of The Kenilworth Society . Nancie and Allan were teachers at Collegiate School of Passaic for many years, Nancie s family was the only five generation family affiliated with Collegiate School, Nancie s focus in life was children and animals. She is survived by four children from a previous marriage, York Edward Osborn of Passaic, NJ. Susan Ann Osborn Manz of Pequannock, NJ, Betsy Lane Osborn of Remsenburg, NY, Nance Louise Osborn Doering of Southampton, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visiting Friday 2-4 & 7-9 at Powell-Marrocco Funeral Home 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. Funeral service at St. John s Episcopal Church in Passaic on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
