Michael Witek

Witek, Michael, 65, of Hawthorne on September 9, 2013. Beloved husband of Krystyna (Zawojski) Witek. Devoted son of the late John and Katarzyna (Dowhan) Witek. Loving father of Danny Witek of Hawthorne and Roman Witek and his fianc Tania Zurawski of Elmwood Park. Dear brother of Vicky Kotlar and her husband George of Wyckoff, Ihor Witek and his wife Grazyna of Elmwood Park, the late Maria Jahnke and her husband Robert and the late Vasyl Leskiw. Son-in-law of Lesia Zawojski. Brother-in-law of Jerry Zawojski and his wife Maryann and brother-in-law of Bohdan Zawojski. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Witek was born in Kepniewo, Poland and came to the United States in 1974, he moved to Hawthorne in 1990. He was a machinist for 15 years at Pfizer in Pearl River, NY. He was a member of the Ukrainian Center, the UAYA and the UCCA all of Passaic. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Wednesday at 8:45 AM then to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Andrew Cemetery in So. Bound Brook. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Parastas Tuesday at 7:30 PM. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to UAYA Passaic.
