Karlicki, Michael, 77, of Clifton on July 23, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Tekla Karlicki. Loving father to Irene Shoiock and her husband Alan of Monroe, NY, John Karlicki and his wife Julie of Clifton and Alex Karlicki and his wife Gina of Clifton. He was preceded in death by two daughters Christine Hrubec and Yaroslawa Vessels. Grandfather to Michael, Alexa and Natalie Shoiock of Monroe, NY; Madeline and Augustus Karlicki of Clifton; Tanya Schneider, Stephen and Mark Hrubec all of Paramus. Great Grandfather to Erica, Charlie and Kyle Schneider of Paramus. Mr. Karlicki was born in Jawirnik Komanchi, Ukraine and came to the US in 1965 settling in Passaic before moving to Clifton in 1996. He was a textile worker for Zenith Dyeing Co. in Paterson for 31 years. Throughout his life he was an active member in the Ukrainian community; he was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic, He was a member of the Board of Directors at the Ukrainian Center, a member of the Parents Committee Ukrainian American Youth Association, the Organization for the Four Freedoms of Ukraine, the Organization for Freedom of Lemkivschyna and a Veteran of the 2nd Division Ukrainian National Army. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 AM. Interment St. Mary s Cemetery. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9. Parastas Sunday at 7:30 PM.
