Elmo, Maxine (Mallery), 90, of Pompton Plains passed away on July 16, 2017. Daughter of the late Perry & Manda (nee Moon) Mallery
Beloved wife of the late Sebastian Elmo. Loving mother of Frank Elmo & his wife Nita (Younger) of Parsippany & Francine & her husband Joseph Deming of Totowa. Grandmother of Eliza Lopez and Marcus Lopez of West Orange and Daniel Elmo of North Carolina. She is also survived by her extended family, the Palumbo Family of Lincroft, the Di Pentino Family of Maine and her much loved nieces in Washington, California & Idaho.
Maxine met her husband Frank Elmo in Moscow, Idaho during World War II. They married on September 21, 1948 and moved to New Jersey, finally settling in Clifton in 1950. Maxine was a wonderful wife and mother who doted on her children. She went on to become an Office Administrator for a General Electric Regional Sales Office in Totowa for 10 years, all the while volunteering her services at the local Passaic Women of the Moose, where she was honored as their Star Recorder. Upon retirement, Maxine and Frank moved to Forked River, NJ where they enjoyed their lives together until Frank’s passing in 1998. Maxine later moved to Tinton Falls and resided there until 2012 when she moved to Cedar Crest in Pompton Plains.
The Elmo family will forever be grateful to the Nursing Staff of Mountain View Gardens Continuing Care Facility for the wonderful Care they provided during Maxine’s stay with them.
Visiting Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.at Marrocco Memorial Chapel – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Thursday 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment on Friday at 11 AM at Gen. William C.
