Mary Giresi

Giresi Minneci, Mary (nee Delaney), age 78 of Lavallette went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2011. She was born July 6, 1933, in the city of Newark, to the late Roy and Marie Delaney. Mary graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel. In 1953, she married Dr. Louis E. Giresi, DDS and moved to Clifton where they had three children. Mary was actively involved at Saint Philip the Apostle Church in Clifton as a Eucharist Minister and sang in the choir with her husband. Always quick with a joke, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing card games with her friends and family. She is predeceased by her daughter Gail (1960) and her late husband Louis (2003). In 2006 she married Raymond Minneci of Lavallette and spent 5 wonderful years enjoying married life by the ocean, along with a wonderful family of friends that welcomed her with open arms. She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Giresi) Wood and Debbie (Giresi) Passenti, and was known as Gammy by grandchildren Jeremy and Tina (Wood) Culver, Matthew Wood, Joseph and Abigail (Wood) DeVore, Joseph and Melissa Passenti, Arielle Passenti. One great-grandchild Chloe Culver, and siblings Joe Delaney, Elizabeth Hewlett and Rose DeRosa. She will also be missed by Ray s children John and Donna Minneci, Lynda Minneci and Jerry Pullins, Raymond G. and Shelly Minneci, along with grandchildren Jessi, Patrick, Sarah, Ray J., Rocco, and Paige. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Friday at 9:15 AM. followed by a funeral mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church 10 AM. Interment Cresthaven Memorial Park.
