Marta Mc Kenny

It is with great sadness that the family of Marta (Benczedi) Mckenny announce her passing away on January 30, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Marta is survived by her husband of 57 years, Patrick McKenny. Marta is the beloved mother of Tracy O’Kane and her husband Philip, beloved sister of Marie Burns, beloved grandmother of Amanda Johnson and her husband Todd, Kaleigh O’Kane, Brendan O’Kane, and Daniel O’Kane and the beloved great grandmother of Aiden and Miles Johnson. Marta was born in Koszeg, Hungary in 1945 to her beloved parents Beatrice and Louis Benczedi. In 1950, her family escape the perils of war in Europe and started a new life in America residing in Passaic. Marta was a graduate of Passaic High School class of 1963. She married in 1965 and had her only daughter in 1966. Marta was an administrative manager for John Hancock for 20 years as well as working at Guardian Life Insurance. Marta loved passionately entertaining family and friends, her country, helping those in need, gardening and had a devotion to Saint Thérèse. What brought her great joy was her family. She was devoted to the care and nurturing of her husband, daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and will be profoundly missed.
