Marius Louis Poles Jr.

Poles, Marius Louis Jr., 82, of Clifton passed away on December 9, 2017. Beloved father of Mark Poles of Clifton, brother of Marsha A. Waldron, Constance O’Keefe, Robert Poles & the late Susan Forte. He is also survived by 14 nieces & nephews.
Mr. Poles was a Dispatcher for Forte Trucking, prior he was a letter carrier for the Passaic Post Office. He served in the Air Force for 8 years and was a parishioner of Sacred Heat RC Church – Clifton.
A sports historian for Clifton, Lou was a member of the Clifton Sports Hall of Fame and a President of the Clifton C Club. He was a member and Past Commander of the Clifton Memorial Post 347 American Legion and a member of the Old Friends Beneficial Club.
Lou had a love of swimming and swam daily at the Clifton Boys & Girls Club

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday 10 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church - Clifton. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Arrangement by Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Clifton Avenue of Flags 900 Clifton Avenue Clifton would be appreciated.
