Maria Tatarenko

Tatarenko, Maria (Schlachowa), 90, of Clifton on December 18, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Wasyl. Loving mother to Stefan & his wife Anna, Clifton, Alexandra Kowalenko, Pompano Beach, Florida & Raya Mirochnichenko, Ukraine. Grandmother to Maria, Katia, George Jr., Peter, Andrew, Victor, Anatol & Tolik. Great Grandmother to Johnny. Mrs. Tatatenko was born in Selo Petrovsk, Ukraine and came to the US in 1958 settling in Newark. She lived in Howell for 44 years before moving to Clifton. She was a scissor inspector for Wiss & Son Newark for 20 years. She was a member of St. Alexander Orthodox Church Howell & Holy Ascension Orthodox Church Clifton. She was also a member of the church choir. Visiting Friday 1-3 & 7-9 PM at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. Parastas Friday 7:30 PM. Funeral Saturday 10:30 AM at St. Vladimir Orthodox Church 316 Cassville Rd. Jackson. Interment St. Vladimir Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family will accept donations for Ukrainian Orphanages.
