Maria Pukalak

Pukalak, Maria (Czepil), 87, of Clifton on April 29, 2013 Beloved wife of the late John Pukalak. Loving mother to Luba & her husband William Shagawat of Wayne. Dear grandmother to Jennifer Rose Shagawat and Jeffrey Adam Shagawat. Mrs. Pukalak was born in Werbiv, Ukraine and came to the US in 1950 settling in Passaic before moving to Clifton in 1963. Mrs. Pukalak was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and an assembly worker for Bright Star Industries in Clifton for 15 years. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic and a member of the Church Choir. She was also a member of the Ukrainian Center in Passaic. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Friday at 9:15 AM then to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 AM . Interment St. Mary s Cemetery. Visiting Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Parastas Thursday at 7:30 PM.
