Maria Giustina (nee DeLuca)

Maria Giustina, of Clifton, NJ, passed away on April 3, 2025 at the age of 91. She was born in Borca di Cadore, Italy in the heart of the Dolomite Alps. Maria and her husband Alfredo immigrated to Botany Village, Clifton in 1953. Prior to retirement, Maria was employed by the Clifton Board of Education. In her earlier years, she was an Alpine cross-country skier. She was a member of the Cordial Ladies Club and a parishioner of St. Brendan Church. Maria loved working in her garden, knitting and playing with King, her grandson’s dog.

Maria was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Alfredo. She is survived by her daughter Delia Petrula, her son Gimi Giustina and wife Marguerite, and four grandchildren, Andrew and wife Kara, and Joseph Giustina, and Matthew and Lucas Petrula, her great-grandson Harry Patrick Giustina and her sister Paola Bertolozzi. She was predeceased by her sisters Adina DeLuca, Esther DeLuca and Rosi Agostoni, and son-in-law Michael Petrula.

Visiting on Tuesday from 10 am to 11 am at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at Marrocco Memorial Chapel followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
