Magda Pampanin

January 12, 1919 — November 20, 2008

Pampanin, Magda M. (nee Dillinger), 89, of Clifton died peacefully on November 20, 2008 with her beloved husband Joseph at her side.. Born in Munich, Germany, she came to the United States 50 years ago. She lived in West Orange before moving to Clifton. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church of Clifton, where she devoted 28 years of voluntary services at the Tuesday Night Bingo. She was very talented in knitting and needlepoint but what most people remember are the delicious cookies that she would regularly bake every year around the Christmas Holidays and generously offer to friends, co-workers and family members, using some very old recipes that she had learned from her grandmother living in Bavaria, Germany. She was preceded in death by a brother Ludwig Dillinger of Munich. Surviving is her beloved husband Joseph Pampanin, several nephews and nieces in Germany, Italy and the United States. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 10 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9. In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions to Eva s Kitchen 393 Main St. Paterson, NJ 07508, would be most appreciated.
