Mae Venus Garcia

Mae Venus Garcia of Bloomfield, New Jersey, entered eternal life, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the age of 71. Born in Iloilo, Philippines to Godofredo and Diana (Galvezon) Rico, Mae came to the United States in 1978. She first lived in Lincoln Park, NJ, then relocated with her young family in Houston, Texas for a few years, until finally settling in Bloomfield, NJ. Mae married Arturo Garcia on February 25, 1982 in Montclair, NJ. In her professional career, she worked as an RN in both New Jersey and Texas. A caring person, who often put others before herself, Mae spread her passion and light with so much love to give. Her infectious laughter would lift others and bring smiles to all around her. Mae’s love extended beyond her husband and children to her nieces, nephews, and life-long friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Arturo Garcia, her three loving daughters, Femy and her husband Robert, Gigi and her husband Gerard, and Victoria and her husband Wojtek, and her younger siblings. Visiting will be held, 4-7pm, Thursday, November 7, 2024, and 4-7pm Friday November 8, 2024 at Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National MS Society and the American Cancer Society in tribute to Mae would be greatly appreciated.
