Lewis Lenkowsky, 76, died Monday, July 2nd, peacefully at a nursing home. He was born in Jersey City, NJ, on August 5, 1930 to Meyer and Ida Lenkowsky. He worked diligently as part owner of a family owned lumber company in North Arlington, New Jersey. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Lewis lived the majority of his married life with his wife, Libby and three children in West Orange, New Jersey. Libby passed in February of last year. Later in life they retired to the Renaissance Adult Community in Manchester, New Jersey. Two years ago, he moved to Rockridge Assisted Living Community in Northampton, Massachusetts. Lewis is survived by his three children and their families. His son Paul Lenkowsky lives with his wife Cheryl and their two daughters Anna and Kristina in Grand Prairie, Texas. His son Harold Lenkowsky lives in Bloomfield, New Jersey. His daughter Lynne Davis lives in Florence, Massachusetts with her husband Keith and their daughters Mollie and Jenny. Lewis was a very loving, generous and supportive husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
