Josephine Vola

Vola, Josephine, 94, of Edgewater Park, NJ on January 26, 2015. Dear sister of Ervira Volo-Cascio and Enza Volo-Mazzola, both of Palermo, Italy. Josephine is predeceased by Josephine Rizzo who was her cousin, but more like a sister. Affectionately known as "Jo Jo" by her great "nieces and nephews", Josephine leaves behind nephews, nieces, and cousins: Peter and Angela Volo, Phillip and Theresa Volo, Marie Rizzo-Chierico, Camille Rizzo-Cooper, Anthony and Judith Rizzo, Salvatore and Josephine Rizzo, Anthony Robert and Sally Rizzo, Geraldine Rizzo-Turco, Maureen Rizzo-Michels (Kevin).

Josephine was born in Castelbuono,Sicily and came to the US in 1940 settling in Passaic before moving to Clifton and then to Edgewater Park in 2003. She was a seamstress for 25 years with State Sportswear in Passaic and was a member of the ILGWU Local 158 Passaic. She was also a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church –Clifton.

Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Saturday at 8:45 Am followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 9:30 AM . Entombment Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Friday 5 - 9 PM.
