Josephine Muscato

Muscato, Josephine (Marino), 93, of Clifton passed away on December9, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Muscato, Loving Mother to Ann Schaffner & her husband John of Ledgewood, and Frank J. Muscato & his wife Grettel of Lincoln Park. Grandmother to Alicia Schaffner, Anthony Muscato and Bianca Muscato. Sister to Charles Marino, Joseph Marino, Salvatore Calabrese, Louise Cannilleri, Louis Calabrese.

Mrs. Muscato was born in New York and has lived in Clifton since 1955. She graduated Washington Irving High School in New York City in 1947. She was administrative Secretary for 29 years at Passaic General Hospital.

Josephine loved to travel, especially with her family. She went on countless trips to Disneyworld watching her grandchildren grow. She also realized her dream of traveling to London, Paris, and exploring various parts of Italy including Sicily where her family originated. She will be well remembered for the love she showed her family and friends, the countless Italian feasts she cooked, and her devotion to her faith.

Josephine was a member of the Botany Seniors & the Valley Seniors. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church Clifton.
Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel on Monday at 9:15 A> followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 10 AM. Interment Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery – Sparta. Visiting Sunday 2-6 PM.
