Padula, Joseph John Jr., 85 of Clifton, passed away on October 24, 2018. Beloved husband to Elizabeth Kuebler Verderosa Padula. He is survived by a son, Michael Padula and step-children, Joe Verderosa & Deborah Verderosa. He is also survived by five granddaughters, three great granddaughters and one great grandson.
Joe was born on Valley Rd. in Clifton and lived there his entire life. He attended School # 5 and graduated from Clifton High School. He joined the Army in 1953 and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW on Valley Rd. and the Clifton Elks Lodge on Colfax Ave. He was employed by the City of Clifton as a Police Officer for over 50 years, he retired from the Police Force as a Sergeant and returned to work as a Liaison Officer for Clifton Police & the Prosecutors Office. He was 80 years old when he retired due to his health. He would still be there if he had not been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He loved people & his work.
Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton on Monday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church at 10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Visiting Sunday from 4PM to 8PM.
