John "Big D" Moore Jr.

John “Big D” Moore Jr., of Clifton, New Jersey, entered eternal life on Sunday, May 14, 2023; he was 71. John was born in Paterson, New Jersey on August 1, 1951, to John and Jeanette (Brusco) Moore. He was raised in Paterson, graduating from Paterson Technical School, which put him on the road to spend his career as a self-employed master plumber. When he wasn’t working or spending time with his family, he could be found at the Meadowlands, tracking the progress of the ponies, watching sports or his grandson play soccer and baseball. John was an avid Giants football fan, but most of all, he was a devoted father and grandfather. John is survived by his beloved son Shawn and his wife Tina Moore, and his daughter Tracy Berry. He is also survived by his cherished grandson, Shawn Jr., granddaughters Amanda and Ariana, and great-granddaughter Maizie Rae. John is also survived by his dear brother Steven Gardi and his wife Margaret, his sister Janet Shaver and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held, Thursday, May 18th from 5 – 8 pm, Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Friday, May 19th, family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10 am; with a funeral service at 10:30 am, followed by interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Crooks Avenue, Paterson, New Jersey.
