John Basilotto

Basilotto, John, 89, of Clifton on May 26, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Marianna Basilotto (Latteri). Loving father to Colonel (Ret.) John P. Basilotto of Austin, Texas and the late Fred Joseph Basilotto. Grandfather to Stephen, Tamara and Chris. Great Grandfather to Justin and JT. He was preceded in death by three brothers Louis, Michael and Anthony and two sisters Margie Mazza and Frances Cangemi. Mr. Basilotto was born in Lodi and lived in Clifton since 1945; he was a tailor and shop foreman retiring in 1985. He was an Army Technician Fifth Grade and a veteran of WWII and a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in Clifton. Mr. Basilotto was a member of the Elmwood Park Seniors and the American Legion Post 347 in Clifton. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Saturday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 9:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Friday 6-8 PM. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to any Hospice of your choice.
