Jennie K. Wood

Wood, Jennie K. (Ochs), 91, of Clifton on August 13, 2009. Beloved wife of the late William J. Wood Jr. Loving mother to Maryanne Smith of Wilmington, NC, Ruth Waller of Clifton, Michael Wood of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, James Wood of Clifton, Patrick Wood of Cape May and William J. Wood III of Peoria, Arizona. Sister to Petrella Eaton on Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Wood was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived in Clifton before moving to Cape May where she resided for 25 years. She was a Registered Nurse at Passaic General Hospital for 40 years retiring in 1984. She was a US Navy Nurse during WWII serving in Guam. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church in Cape May and member of the Garden Club and Red Hatters of Cape May; she was a volunteer nurse at the US Coast Guard Base in Cape May and at the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts in Cape May. Visiting at Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Sunday from 6-9 PM. Interment Cape May County Veterans Cemetery on Monday at 1PM.
