James J. Howley Jr.

Howley, James J. Jr. 65, of Hampden, Maine, died March 14, 2017. He was born February 29, 1952, in Hackensack, New Jersey, the son of the late James J. and Helen (Babey) Howley Sr.

After graduating from Husson College, Jim entered into the insurance business. First, working a Dunlap Insurance Company until moving to Cross Insurance where he retired from after many years of service.
Jim was an avid fisherman, bird hunter, and enjoyed raising and training bird dogs. He loved to sail and was co-owner of the “Wynot” with his friend Al Robbins. Together they would sail the Maine coast. Jim would always have a big smile on his face when he was behind the helm. Later in retirement, Jim enjoyed his daily golf game at the Bangor Municipal golf course. He was a kind and generous man who always thought of others before himself. Jim had a great sense of humor to the very end.

Jim is survived by his mother, Helen Nosal; brother, Andrew Nosal; two sisters, Patricia Fitzpatrick and Dorothea Ervin; his best friend, Al Robbins and Al’s partner, Leisa Barker; special friend, Paul Cook, and Jim’s one eyed Boston Terrier “Gibbs” whom he loved deeply.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at 11 AM at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
