Helen C. Rush

Rush, Helen C. (Newman), 92, of Clifton on September 29, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Albert Rush. Loving mother to Maureen Rush of Clifton, Carolyn Paone and her husband Thomas Paone of Longmeadow, MA and Kathleen Rush of Brookline, MA. Sister to Mary Newman of Clifton and the late William and Robert Newman. Sister-in-law to Louise Newman of Lawrence, MA and Constance Newman of Newark, DE. Beloved grandmother of Lisa K. Paone of Nantucket, MA, Karen M. Provencher and her husband Gary of Durango, CO, Catherine E. Paone of Longmeadow, MA, David A. Rush of Brookline and Lily C. Rush of Brookline. Mrs. Rush was born in New York City and lived in North Arlington before moving to Clifton in 1950. She was a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in East Orange for 12 years. She obtained a Bachelors Degree from Seton Hall University in 1966 and a Masters Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Columbia University in 1971. She was a Charter Member of the Society of Certified Clinical Specialists in Psychiatric Nursing of the NJ State Nurses Association; she was a former Executive Director of the American Association of Industrial Nurses in New York City from 1961 to 1969 and a member of the NJ Industrial Nursing Association. Mrs. Rush was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton and a member of the St. Philip s Rosary Society. Cremation Private. Memorial Mass will be held on October 31st at 11:30 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church - Clifton. Arrangements by Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton.
