Gloria Rose Kahwaty

Kahwaty, Gloria Rose (nee Hayek), 93, of Little Falls former longtime resident of Wayne and Clifton passed away on April 19,2022. Blessed in marriage for 63 years, Gloria was the wife of the late Sam J. Kahwaty (d.2012).She spent her career as the caring wife and mother of four children; Linda D. Adamson (Douglas), Paulette Kahwaty, Joseph Kahwaty (Kim),and Joann Slattery. She was Sitto (Grandmother) to Stacey, Alyssa, Edward and Amber as well as 2 great grandchildren; Christian and Natalee. In addition to her immediate family, she was Aunt Glor and Syrian cook to over 30 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and all four siblings; Margaret Dikdan, Joseph Hayek, George Hayek and Michael Hayek.
Our mother was a great cook of both American and Syrian foods, to sew by hand, watch Law & Order and Blue Bloods. She enjoyed, and was very good with hand sketching and word find puzzles. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton.
Services are private under the direction of Marrocco Memorial Chapel470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. Gloria will be laid to rest with her husband at Laurel grove Cemetery, Totowa.
