Gino Bonadies

Bonadies, Gino, 99 of Clifton, passed away on May 21, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (Laviaono) Bonadies. Loving father to Frank Bonadies & his wife Carolyn and the late Michael Bonadies & his wife Jill. Devoted grandfather to Melissa Smithlingh and her husband Kieran, James Bonadies and his wife Natalia, and Cara Bonadies. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Gino was born in San Mango, Salerno, Italy and came to the United States in 1952 settling in Passaic before moving to Clifton. He was a tailor and worked for Larkey’s Clothes Store in Passaic for 20 years, after that he worked at Lewitz in Hackensack for 20 years. He served in the Italian Army and was a paratrooper during World War II. He was a member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union.

Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton on Wednesday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Brendan RC Church at 10 AM. Entombment Calvary Cemetery. Visiting on Tuesday from 4 pm to 8 pm.
