Georgette "Gig" Niland

Niland, Georgette Gig (Zanetti), born July 26, 1944 lifetime Clifton resident and graduate of Clifton High School, passed away on August 27, 2010. Daughter of the late George and Sally Zanetti. Married to Joseph P. Niland, proud and loving mother to Kathleen Bradley, Joseph Jr. and David. Grandmother to her treasured loves Steven and James Bradley and Robin Niland. Beloved sister of George Zanetti, Joan Malkiewicz, Rena Atkinson and her twin, Edward Zanetti. She will be greatly missed by many friends, nieces and nephews. Gig was employed at Ivy Realty as an office manager and accounting department specialist. During her years at Ivy she developed friendships that she cherished and maintained after her retirement last year. Gig was active in school affairs and served as president of the School #5 PTA. She also participated in many bowling leagues. Gig shared her enthusiasm organizing class reunions, gardening and decorating. She enjoyed many vacations, concerts, casino trips and restaurant outings with her 3 amigo buddies, Darleen and Barbara. Gig was a very special lady to all. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Monday at 10 am. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Sunday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Care of New Jersey, or any favorite charity would be appreciated.
