Capuano, Ernest,90, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, on June 12, 2009 in California while visiting his daughter. Born in Clifton he moved to Florida in 1980. He served in the Clifton Police Department for 33 years and retired as a Police Captain, a position he held for 15 years. He was a World War II Army veteran and received a degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay University. He was a member of PBA Local 36 and was one of the founders of the Columbian Association. Mr. Capuano is predeceased by his wife Madeline (nee Seminara) Capuano.. Loving father of Nicholas and his wife Marsha of Fairfield, Kathylee Van Buskirk & her husband David of Lake Elsinore, Ca and Laura Capuano of Norway. Dear grandfather of Nicole Ball & her husband Jon, Karen Stanley & her husband Michael, Amy Luera & her husband Gil , Erick & Kristian Midjaas. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
