Ernest Buongiorno

Buongiorno, Ernest, 77 of Montville on June 19, 2008. Beloved husband of Gloria (Renner)Buongiorno. Devoted father to Denise Buongiorno of Old Bridge, Ernest A. and his wife Irene of Oak Park, California, Eileen and her husband Scott Gilbert of Blairstown, Christopher De Young and his wife Victoria of Ridgewood, John De Young and his wife Christina of Santa Monica, California, and Roy De Young and his wife Laura of Montville. Brother to Emil Buongiorno of Naples, Florida. Loving Grandfather to Carson, Hailey, Bethany, Sarah, Nicholas Saito, Nicholas De Young, Jeremy De Young, Charles Callum Ernesto De Young, Scott and Mark Lauren. He is also survived by his loving Great Grandson Nicolin. Mr. Buongiorno was born in Sacile, Italy in 1930 and came to the US in 1933 settling in Clifton, he lived in Montville for the past 31 years. He was a pharmacist and owner of Swisher Pharmacy in Little Falls for 45 Years. He was semi retired working part time for ShopRite in Little Falls. Mr. Buongiorno was an Army Veteran of The Korean Conflict. Mr. Buongiorno was a graduate of Rutgers School of Pharmacy. He was chosen as the MC at his forthcoming 60th Clifton High School Class Reunion as he was at every reunion since graduation. He was a member of The Wayne Elks Lodge, He was a Past President of The Pharmaceutical Association of Passaic County. He was a parishioner of Saint Pius X in Montville. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton on Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 10:00 AM. Cremation East Ridgelawn Cemetery.
