Fontani, Erminia (Vidak), 90 of Clifton, passed away on December 23, 2017. Beloved wife of the Late Bruno Fontani. Loving mother to Vivian Fontani of Clifton. Aunt to Raymond Sasso & his wife Florence of Danbury, CT and Mario Belich & his family of Flushing, NY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews in the U.S. and Europe. She was predeceased by three sisters, Maria, Alma & Olga and brother Vittorio of Croatia & Trieste, Italy.
Mrs. Fontani was born in Croatia and arrived in the U.S. in 1951, settling in Brooklyn, NY, where she worked as a seamstress. She became a Clifton resident in 1960, upon marrying Mr. Bruno Fontani. She was a long time parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in Clifton.
Mrs. Fontani’s daughter wishes to thank the mom-squad of friends in the neighborhood, who always looked out for her well-being.
Services will be private. Donations in Erminia’a memory can be made to any charity of your choice. Arrangements by Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton.
