Dorothy Cervine

Cervine, Dorothy (nee Sondej), 73 of Clifton entered eternal life Saturday morning January 23, 2021. She had been hospitalized since Jan.21 with Covid related pneumonia.

Dorothy (Dot) Cervine was a 1965 graduate of Garfield High School and a 1967 alumna of Laboratory Institute of Merchandising. She lived for several years in Garfield before moving to Clifton in 1975.She worked briefly as a buyer for B. Altman and sons, Lord & Taylor and Alexanders. She was a member of the St. Philip’s Prime timers and the Valley Seniors social club. She was a regular attendee of St. Philip the Apostle parish where she served as a Eucharistic minister.
She is survived by her husband of almost 52 years Michael, a daughter Christine & her husband Joseph Klopotek of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and her son Rev. Keith M. Cervine of Edison, NJ and a granddaughter Corinne Klopotek of Eau Claire, WI. And her brother Kenneth Sondej and his wife Susan of Midlothian, VA.
She is predeceased by her granddaughter Emily Klopotek.
Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Thursday at 9:15 AM. Followed by a funeral mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church at 10 AM. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery.
