Sylvester, Donald L., 80 of Harrison passed away on August 6, 2016.Beloved father of Jeanne Sylvester & Donald Sylvester. Brother of Philip & Jackie.
Mr. Sylvester was born in Newark and lived most of his life in Harrison. He and his former wife Patricia raised their family in Clifton. He was a controller for Continental Can in Passaic for 10 years and then retired after working for Key Handling in Moonachie for 10 years.
Mr. Sylvester served in the NJ National Guard for 3 years. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross RC Church in Harrison and a member of the Delawanna Citizen’s Association.
Donald was an avid Yankee fan and liked spending time with his daughter and going to Atlantic City.
The family will receive their friends and family on Thursday 7-8 PM during which time a prayer service will be held at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Drive Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated
