Dominick R. Messina

Messina, Dominick R. Mimi , of Clifton on September 17, 2010. Beloved husband for 58 years of Rosalie (Seminara). Loving father to Michael Messina & his wife Maria of San Diego, CA., Joseph Messina of Clifton, Richard Messina & his wife Ana of Clifton & John Messina & his wife Linda of Morris Plains. Grandfather to Matthew, Kathryn, Margaret, John, Steven, Michael, Richard & Alicia. Brother to James Messina of Toms River, Joseph Messina of Spring Hill, Fla., the late Florence Vivinetto and the late Sena Bobba. Mr. Messina was born in Passaic and moved to Clifton in 1954. He was a letter carrier for the Passaic Post office for 42 years. He was a member of the Musician s Union Local 248, playing the trumpet since the age of 16. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a parishioner and head usher at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Passaic. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Wednesday at 9:15 AM. followed by a mass at Saint Anthony of Padua RC Church Passaic at 10 AM then to East Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Anthony of Padua RC Church or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
