McDonough, Dolores (Negele), 81, of Chadwick Beach Island, NJ on March 17, 2013. Beloved wife of William McDonough. Loving mother of Douglas and his wife Lauren. Devoted grandmother of Ryann, Braedan and Will. Sister to Thomas Negele of Clifton, Dennis Negele of Wantage and Louise Marinari of Clifton. An artist at heart; she worked in forms ranging from clay and oils to macram and needlepoint. Besides her family, she loved the ocean, Elvis, Dean Martin and classic movies; she was unbeatable in the Entertainment category of Trivial Pursuit. She was an avid bridge player, a former Trustee of the Chadwick Beach Yacht Club and a current member of the Ocean County Republicans and Ocean Area Seniors. Mrs. McDonough was born in Clifton and lived in Chadwick Beach Island for the past 12 years. She graduated Cum Laude in 1960 from Montclair University. She was an Art Teacher and worked for the Clifton Public School System for 25 years; prior to that she worked at the North Junior High School in Bloomfield for 7 years. She was a member of the New Jersey Educators Association and the National Educators Association. She was a former parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in Clifton. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Friday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 10 AM. Visiting Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In Lieu of flowers donations to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
