Daniel L Martone

Martone, Daniel L. passed away on January 8, 2017. Born in Clifton, NJ. Born to Daniel and Ella Martone. Graduated Clifton High School in 1953. He later graduated from FDU with a Business degree in 1957. He earned a masters in Marketing in 1968. He worked at many jobs as a boy such as a paper boy and pin boy at his family’s bowling alley, Martone Lane. While going to college he worked at Grinkers in Passaic where he met his future wife, Barbara (Pet) Petronchak. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He married his high school sweetheart Barbara in 1959. He went to work for Eastman Kodak and later for Agfa for 37 years. He was an avid photographer and photographed almost every family event. Dan loved the Jersey Shore and held fond memories of his summers at his grandparents’ house in New Gretna. He loved the time with his wife and his sons, Daniel and Donald. His son Daniel is married to Andrea and gave him the great blessing of grandchildren, Daniel and Gabrielle. He lived over 30 years in Wayne in a loving neighborhood. He enjoyed times in Atlantic City with Barbara, Elks Club dinners, and times with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful grandfather. We will miss you so much Grandpa. You were one of a kind.
Visiting Friday 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, .Interment Committal Saturday 10 AM at George Washington Memorial Park Paramus. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Foundation 1832 Connecticut Ave NW Suite 420, Washington DC 20009 in his memory would be appreciated.
