Concetta Maria Parisi of Passaic, NJ died on Saturday April 22, 2023.
On March 14, 1944, Concetta Maria Parisi was born to Thomas and Maria Parisi in Passaic, NJ. She was a retired High School English Teacher devoting 42 years to Passaic High School. Her teaching career began at Saint Anthony’s of Padua in Passaic and ended at Passaic High School. Teaching was her passion. She was a lifelong learner and extremely creative. She loved writing, drawing and Greek mythology. Concetta was a voracious reader and an aficionado of word puzzles.
Her life revolved around family. She was a second mom to her nieces and nephews. She looked forward to family dinners, especially dinner at Guiseppi’s and Hunan Taste. Her favorite order included escargot, pineapple sorbet, and cannolis. On Sunday dinners at the house, she loved to prepare her chop meat and macaroni. It was the kids’ favorite.
A few of her favorite stops were Rutt’s Hut and Jumbos Ice on her way down the shore. Vacationing in Seaside Heights, NJ was the highlight of her summers. She loved the boardwalk, Big Top arcade, and a Midway sausage sandwich, no peppers, no onions, no sauce.
Concetta was a TRUE PASSAIC girl. Born and raised, worked and lived, positively loved Passaic.
Concetta is survived by her sister Carmela Pollaro and Frank, her brother Thomas Parisi and Diane. Her nieces and nephews; Frank and Jaime Pollaro, Thomas and Lesley Parisi, Frank and Maria Pepe, Christopher and Eliana Parisi, Marc and Megan Pollaro, Dominic and Jacki Salvatore, James and Kristen Parisi, and Robert Parisi. Her grand nieces and nephews; Thomas Parisi, Emily Parisi, Jake Pepe, Gianna Pepe, Christopher Parisi, Carly Pollaro, Nathan Salvatore, Matthew Parisi, Austin Pepe, Nicholas Parisi, Celeste Salvatore, Reagan Pollaro, Camden Parisi and Braden Parisi.
Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Wednesday at 9:15 AM, followed by a funeral mass at Saint Anthony of Padua RC Church – Passaic at 10 AM Interment Calvary Cemetery Visiting Tuesday 4 to 8:30 PM.
