Carol Ann Eleanor Mele

Carol Mele entered eternal rest, Thursday, January 9th, 2025, she was 83. Carol was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 22nd, 1941 to William and Evelyn (D'Argenzio) Wallengren. She was raised in Paterson, and had also lived in Clifton for many years. Carol had earned her Associates Degree from the Passaic County Community College, and worked as a nurse during her professional career. She had last worked at the Passaic County Jail, prior to her retirement. Carol enjoyed crocheting and knitting, but her passion was caring for stray cats. She could often be found rounding up the stray cats in the neighborhood, so that she could get them spayed and neutered. 

Carol was the beloved mother of her daughter Rosemarie Mele and her son Jude Roy Mele and his wife Catherine Galdun. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Peter Bodor and his wife Rachel Manella, and Daniela Ghafour, and great grandchildren Andrea Rose Cedero Mele, Isabella Guilianna Barr, Carley Ann Bodor, Raelyn Marie Bodor and Lorelei June Bodor. Carol was predeceased by her dear sons Joseph Mele and John Mele. She was also predeceased by her siblings William Wallengren, Joan Wallengren, and Roy Wallengren. 

Visitation Wednesday, January 15th, 4-7pm, Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013; and Thursday January 16th, 10-10:30am. A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, prior to taking Carol to her final place of rest, at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ 07512.
