Cordaro, Ann Rose, 89, formerly of Clifton, New Jersey passed peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her home in West Milford Township. Ann s beloved husband Bob was at her side as he always has been since meeting Ann at a dance in 1944. Bobby and Barbara, her children, were with their parents. A lifelong Passaic County resident, Ann was born on Van Riper Avenue in Clifton on January 11, 1925, daughter of the late Purissima and Giovanni Bottanelli. A graduate of Clifton High School, Ann began her secretarial career at Manhattan Bus Lines and Radio Station WPAT. Choosing to be a full-time Mother, Ann spent the years from 1947 through 1964 immersed in family and Sacred Heart Church and School. A Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader, Ann was also an active member of Sacred Heart Rosary Society, American Legion Auxiliary Post 347, and Sacred Heart PTA. Raising African Violets, guppies, angelfish and Bobby and Barbara kept her busy the rest of the time. Ann resumed her secretarial career at Sears Roebuck and Company, retiring in 1989 as an Executive Secretary to the New York Group Regional Offices of the company. Ann is survived by Carmen Bob Cordaro, her beloved husband of 67 years and her loving children, Bobby Cordaro (Mariel) of Clarkston, Michigan and Barbara Ann Cordaro of Caldwell, New Jersey. Ann was the proud grandmother of Danielle Ann Cordaro of Akron, Ohio and Rob and Dawn Cordaro of Almont, Michigan and cherished her great-grandsons Ryan and Alex of Almont, Michigan. Claire Carline of Winfield, Illinois was Ann s dear sister. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Thursday, May 15th at 10:15 AM. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 3 to7 PM. A lifelong devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Clifton, New Jersey, Ann s Funeral Mass will be celebrated there on Thursday at 11 AM. Funeral from the Burial will be private at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, N.J. Memorial contributions may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness, P.O. Box 17279, Baltimore, MD. 21297.
