Anna Halaburda

Anna (Hranyczna) Halaburda, born July 21, 1931, in Zavadka, Lemkivshchyna, Ukraine, died on December 27, 2022, after a brief illness. She immigrated to Jersey City, NJ, in 1950, where she met and then married Rostyslaw Halaburda in 1952. They eventually settled in Clifton, NJ. She was a seamstress for Hewitt Manufacturing for many years and a devoted member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic, NJ, for her entire life. She was a member of the St. Nicks Seniors Club and one of the original pyrohy workers. She is the beloved mother of children Daniel and his wife Barbara (Buck) Halaburda, Michael and his wife Renee Schoepflin, and Daria and her husband Joseph Patti, as well as adored grandmother of Laryssa Patti with husband Dane Jensen, Alexa Patti with Dustin Kocylowsky, Christian Patti with wife Hania Sambor, Madelyn Halaburda, and Parker Halaburda, and proud great-grandmother to Leo Jensen.
