Guerra, Angelo, 93 of Clifton on October 16, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Ida (nee Dall Ava) Guerra. Loving father to Roberta & her husband Dennis Da Giau of Woodland Park. Dear grandfather of Joanne Da Giau-Del Toro & her husband Peter & Danielle Da Giau & her husband Christopher Pitoniak. Great Grandfather to Sebastian Del Toro. Mr. Guerra was born in Forno di Zoldo, Italy and came to the US in 1928 settling in Passaic before moving to Clifton where he lived most of his life. Mr. Guerra worked as a machinist for Modern Plastics in Clifton for many years. He was an avid and successful bowler and enjoyed sketching and cartooning. Mr. Guerra was a World War II Army Veteran and as a long time member served as Vice-Commander and Sergeant at Arms of the Clifton Memorial American Legion Post # 347 Clifton. He was a parishioner and usher at Sacred Heart RC Church, a member of the Italian American Family Association, North Italian Society and the Old Friends Beneficial Club all in Clifton. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Wednesday at 9:15 AM followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 10 AM . Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery. Visiting Tuesday 2-8 PM.
