America Josephine Del Core

Del Core, America Josephine (Cattai) “Cookie/Amy”, (age 92), of Hackettstown, formerly of Clifton, passed away on September 16, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Carmine Del Core. Loving mother to Richard & his wife Linda of Bluffton, SC and Diane Vargo & her husband George of Flanders, NJ. Devoted grandmother (Nani) of Gabriel, Amanda and her husband Alex, Steven & his wife Sarah, Michael & his wife Karen, Nicholas & his wife Sarah, and Garrett, great grandmother to Bella, Sammy, Elliot, Lincoln, Luca, Poppy (Collins) and Bennett.

Amy was born in Clifton, NJ and was a long time and active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish including the Rosary society. She spent her career teaching at both Sacred Heart and Saint Phillip’s but also helped to lead Bingo for many years at Sacred Heart.

Funeral will be handled by the Marrocco Memorial Chapel – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton. Visitation at Marrocco will be Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 4-7 PM. Final visitation will be on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church at 10 AM. Entombment will occur afterward at Calvary Cemetery.
